I have a lot going on lately. I'm headed to Phoenix for a week. A little too late to make it to the Phoenix Open. It would've been my 5th year.
I signed up to take a finance class through Coursera. It's been 10 years and I forgot everything I knew. I should know these things. There's all sorts of classes and they're all free! I'm signed up for four courses total, though some start later in the spring. It'll be good.
Some idiot input my email address into some online loan application. I am getting TONS of loan offers every single day. Unsubscribe, mark as spam, they keep coming. Ugh. Maybe that girl with my same name who wanted my email address should take it over...
Kidding.
My friend Steve passed away a week ago. I'll miss the funeral today in AZ, and I very much wish I could be there to remember one of the best guys I've known. Always smiling, always caring for others, always assuring me that each time I played the organ in church, he didn't hear a single mistake. We'll miss you, Steve.
Another high school friend suddenly lost her dad this weekend; he passed away in his sleep. I think frequently about how I still have all four of my grandparents - when is it my turn for a loss?
I'm a little overwhelmed at planning this event, it seems to take up my life lately.
I have six issues of the Economist to read (I gotta do them cover to cover, but I'm missing the point with such a current publication).
I still haven't completed my best music of 2012. I think I'm just gonna have to slap something on Spotify and call it good.
I've been spending a lot of time with someone wonderful lately, and our intense conversations seem to drown out a lot of other noise in my life. No idea where this road is taking me, but I'm going to enjoy the journey.
